Hello Scrappy friends !!
I want to share a shaker card I made for a friend , she had received some honey from a friend and wanted a special Thank you card made for them.
I used an old Stamping Up set called Betsy the Bee Keeper from 1998 , see when you are a good stamp set you can still make card in 2015 ..lol 17 years later ..
I get my card base made and then die cut a honeycomb background and then I stamp and color all my bees , I also made my frame and glued my acetate to it
next I use my new Brother Scan N Cut2 to cut out all those tiny bees , man would this take a while if I did not have this amazing machine
I want to put some bees glued to my honeycomb and then the rest will go inside my shaker card , these will move around inside so they my flip so i stamped and colored the backside of all these bees too , I also put glossy accent on the wings .. I fill my frame for my shaker card and glue another sheet of acetate to seal in the shaker sequins, glass beads and bees and then I glue it to top of honeycomb card base
I stamp bee trails all around the frame
I cut my words out in vinyl and my silhouette and adhere them to the front of my shaker
this is the inside of my card , I used a gel pen and my silhouette to write it , I stamped so more bees and added a beehive and honey jar inside
I also like my make matching envelopes to go with my cards , eye candy for the Postal person and yes they do love to see beautiful envelopes : ) I get told first hand from them …
Thanks so much for stopping by my scrappy world , stay a minute and look around at other creations on my blog : )
