Spa day for Edna

July 26, 2012 By 8UpScrapin 1 Comment

Today’s Art Impressions challange was to make a picture window card and the stamp image I chose to use was Edna Soaking P1760 , she needs a day at the spa so the is what I gave her the bubbles from the bubble bath are over flowing the tub and floating out the window , don’t you wish calgon could take you away.. We all need to take time for ourselves because when we do it relaxes us and we are only better for our families .. My card base was designed on my gypsy and cut on the cricut , I used the Art Philosophy cartridge and on page 23 there is a card base and a window pane , I welded the two together to create my card base finished base is 5 1/4″ by 5 1/4″  the window base is about 3 1/4″ square , I then cut a tan layer of the window pane. I used a bubble stamp I had in my stash ( not sure brand ) and embossed the bubbles with silver lightning (sparkle and sprinkles )and cut them out to frame the window front next I cut a fancy tag and stamped the sentiment the out side of the window was stampped with a doily stamp in baja breeze ink. Inside the card I added a layer of pokadot paper then cut out my colored image and popped it up on foam tape ,I  cut bubbles from white glitter paper from the Childs Year cricut cartridge at 1 3/4″.I used mt copic markers and glitter pens to color the image.
Stamps : Edna Soaking SKU # P1760 , bubbles (unknown )
Accessories :embossing powder , fancy tags 2 Spellbinders , corner chomper ,
Cricut Carts : , Art Philosophy , childs year , gypsy to weld and design

Calgon take me away – Lol! Edna would be a great addition to those commercials – she has the bubbles going on! Love the card – so many details.
