Today’s card is made with a Rubbernecker stamp , I bought these stamps from Creating Keepsake Convention this year , what a great find , they even had such cool sentiments that you can mix and match to go with the stamps . You can find them at www.rubbernecker.com this is Ralph fishing sku # 562-02 .
I made this card for my son , he loves to fish and always has a fish story ..lol
I stamped him on white card stock , colored him with Copic markers ,I added clear star glitter pen over the fish and water ( hard to tell in pics , this gives a wet sun has hit the water look ), added clouds behind him with chalk , the next layer is a mustard color and I used my SU labels dies to make a cut out the show my image ,the next layer is a kraft color and i cut my hole out with the next die bigger and then ran it thru the Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder and then sponged SU soft Suede ink around edges and over the embossing to make the wood grain come alive.I made a banner for the sentiment and made a seam binding ribbon bow out of white ribbon then after the bow was made i used my latte shimmer mist to color it a more rustic color ( Tip : when you get a white color you can make it what ever color you need with shimmer mists or copic markers ) , I made a pretend fish-hook from my jewelry supplies and a pretend bobber with a big pearl that I colored half red and added a dot of glossy accents and attached a piece of brown paper for the top of bobber , if you don’t have the perfect add ons make your own with what you have , be creative , have fun …
