Hello Scrappy friends !!
It was my daughter’s birthday 2 weeks ago and we always make treat bags to send to school . Zoe was turning 10 and she is a really great crafty helper so we tag team these cute bags for her class, we has an assembly line process going and it worked great we had 30 bags done in about 2.5 hours .. that is a fast working assembly line lol…
This is our finished product , isn’t she adorable ???
first I hand cut the belly shape and had Zoe glue those one with school glue
we took brown lunch bags and I cut off about 4″ off the top of the bags , then I folded each top side of the bag to the middle to form a point and then I folded that down the form a flap with a point , this will be the owl forehead / ears ..
next I punched out the eyes and Zoe assembled them on our bags with school glue
2 – 2″ scalloped circles in white
2 – 1 1/2″ circles in an eye color we did half of them in blue and half or them in green eyes
2 – 1″ black circles for the eyes
the beak is a petal from a Stampin Up Flower builder punch ( you could hand cut a triangle for this too
i layered the eyes and Zoe glued them on and then she glued on the beaks
this is what you have after assembly ,now we line them up to fill with candy
Zoe is a pretty good candy bag stuffer but you need lots of energy for this so she had to sample a Carmel apple lollipop while she did this lol ..love that girl
after we filled the bags we folded the top back down and then I punched two holes to run a pice of seam binding ribbon through to hold our Owl bags shut
I hand wrote Happy Birthday Zoe on each bag
boxed up and ready for school
we also handed out cupcakes and juice pouches to go with these , Zoe said it was a hit and she was so very happy and to me that is all that counts , if my baby girl is happy momma is happy : )
Thanks for stopping by my Scrappy World where we are always scrappin up something fun !!!
