Mother’s Day Lattice card

April 28, 2011 By 8UpScrapin Leave a Comment

I have been asked how this card is made so I am going to try to explain the process . I made this one for my mom for Mother’s day
this card take an 8 1/2″ by 11″ sheet of cardstock , cut in half so you have 2 pc 5 1/2 ‘ by 8 1/2″ , score one in half at 4 1/4’ , the second half cut in half so you have 2 at  4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″ , take one of these and cut into 1/4″ strips so strip measures 1/4″ by 5 1/2″ , you will have 17 strips 1/4″ wide

layer the 4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″ pc on top of the front half of card lay your Spellbinders label four the largest die in the center and run thru the Big Shot to cut
label the top  ( this will make it easier for you to line up , this is the inside liner to hide all the raw edges )
use your grid mat to line up strips in the back of the front of card , run glue runner around the outside  , line up on the diagnialon one side

then weave as if weaving a basket over , under  ..repeat … then do oppsite on next strip

glue the cover to back side  , this will hide all the raw edges
