I make these flowers and love them so much , very vintage looking , to make these you dont need anything but paper and scissors , no punches or cricut required for those of you who have not bought those things yet , this is a great flower to learn if you are just starting out. But you can also cut from the Cricut ” Walk in my Garden” is a great cartridge page 87 use blackout image , you can cut several at a time ..cut 2 each of the following sizes 1″ ,2 ” , 2 1/2″ and 3″ squares .. 8 total layers
fold into quaters , then fold into a triangle
hold with the foled edge to your left cut into a ice cream cone shape
open your flower petal , now ink you edges with an ink darker than you want your flower to turn out , layer all eight , stagger your petals
layer up and find center and poke a hole in center and insert the brad to hold your flower together
spray each layer lightly with water and crunch each layer to the center one layer at a time , be very careful they are very delicate when wet
slowly open the flower back up one layer at a time until you get the desired look of your flower
lay them out to dry over night , notice the flowers when sprayed with water the ink edges bleed to give a faded out look had to dark to light , mist them all with my homemade Glimmer spary ( recipe on this blog )
this is a Jar I am making for the tables at our Relay for Life Quater Auction , I needed jars for 40 tables to put quater in .
