hand-made Prima flowers

July 20, 2012 By 8UpScrapin Leave a Comment

Today we are making flowers like I had on my Ai shake n Bake card.

First you need to cut 3 squares 3×3, 3  squares 2 1/2 x 2 1/2″ and 3 squares 2x 2″  , fold your square in half and ,then fold into a quarter , then fold that quarter in half  , then take the bottom side and fold up to the left side to form a triangle  shape.

next I ink each layer and I use Tim Holtz in Worn Lipstick , then layer all 9 layers on top of each other  , fasten with a brad in the middle to hold together

next mist each layer one layer at a time and pull to middle and scrunch  , do this until all the petals are scrunched to the middle

next take a stylus or a pic and open each petal one layer at a time , when completely open mist with shimmer mist and let dry over night

these flowers have the Prima look a like  and feel , yes they take some time but you will find they are so worth it and you can make a big patch and bag them for a later use , you can make them bigger or smaller ,remember we started with white cardstock  , now look how they turned out … make them your own and have fun : )
