Hello scrappy friends !!
Today I have a card for you using the new masculine images Backyard Boss # 4377 Art Impressions has just released , they are in store but not yet available in the online store , I am itching to get my hands on more they are so darn cute ( can a masculine image be cute ..YES ).Art Impressions has a challenge up this week to use vellum in your card , so I ran with it and this is what I came up with …
Can you see what I have done … I stamped the leaf pile on my card base and then added a sheet of vellum over it and stamped my guy on the vellum this give the illusion of lots of layer without adding bulk to your card , I really love how he turned out
let me show you how I created this card ,I am using Backyard Boss#4377 ,Falling leaves #1266 , Leaves and rake#J774 , all Art Impressions stamps
I stamp my guy on vellum
next I flip over the vellum and colored him from the back side , I used my copic marks but the color only floats on top so it takes some practice to work the ink to get some shading ,
but when you flip the image it magically looks so much better , look I gave him a 5 O’clock shadow
next I stamped my leaf pile and the falling leaves and colored them on my card base
copic colors for this project
here I’m showing you I layered the vellum on top of the card base
inside my card
card with matching envelope
I hope you are inspired to get that vellum out and try something new with it , something that will make you SMILE : )
What a great masculine card! Love his stubble. It’s great how you stamped on the vellum and what a great idea…you could reverse the image if you wanted him to face the other way. It gives you twice as many looks with the same stamp! ~Renee
Clever!! And so cool! I love it! 🙂
Hey Crystal! Great card! This guy reminds me of “Gru” from Dispicable Me, especially on the envelope without the detail!
that looks like Curt when he is blowing the leaves in our yard he has one of those leave blowers like that, lol
leaf blower oops
Very cool effect with the vellum, Crystal!
Great card and tutorial Crystal. Thanks so much for joining us at Art Impressions Sheer challenge 🙂
