Hello Ai Fans !!!
Today’s challenge is flowers , oh how I love to make flowers and today I am making them out of plastic clam shells I have saved from my Cricut cartridges and embossing folders ect .. And the Art Impressions stamps I chose are Nellie sku # U1703 , wooden stand front sku # P1705 , lemons sku # G1738 , lemonade sku #BB1742 , I think this little Nellie looks like my daughter Zoe , she is always wanting to have a Lemonade stand so when I saw these stamps I had to get them , I love how this card came together , I started with the stamps and then found the paper I wanted to use , then I colored the stamped image with my copics and the embossed the wooden stand and lemon bucket and lately I made my flowers to match my card .
to make the flowers I cut the plastic from a Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die
now you color your plastic with alcohol ink , I chose to use my copic markers , I do this on a Teflon mat
next used your heat gun and the plastic will shrink and start to curl , once you get to this stage stop the heat and help mold the flower the rest of the way ..tip : use your scissors or tweezers to hold while heating the plastic
I then pierced a hole on the middle of the three layer flower and these are held together with a crystal bard that i have altered to match my card , I used a yellow copic marker to color the brads and the white pearls ( tip : buy white or clear brads , pearls or even ribbon and you can make it what ever color you choose with copic markers because the are alcohol ink based )
Supplies : SU card stock , copic markers , Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die , SU doily dies , embossing powder in chestnut , plastic clam shells coverings , crystal brads , pearls , recollections border punch , Spellbinders foliage die
Copics :
the inside I made a pocket for a gift card or money to be added
that is all for today , hope you have an 8UpScrapin Day !!
Awww – she is so cute!! I love the flower tutorial and the reminder/tip about using one’s Copics to add color to anything. (I just need to remember that – boy my stash of white and clear goodies has just grown!) I love all the detail and cuts within the card. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings on you Day – Rhonda <
